Why unwashed eggs? Unwashed eggs retain their protective coating called the 'bloom' that seals and protects the egg from bacteria and extends freshness.
Unwashed eggs can be stored at room temperature for weeks or in the refrigerator for 3 months.
Eggs from our hens are pasture raised and eat a soy-free, corn-free, GMO-free diet free of drugs and antibiotics. Our chickens forage for food and are happy and free on our farm!
Our chickens are given access to a non-gmo, organic feed to supplement their diet.
These eggs are loaded with nutrition and have thick and strong egg whites thanks to a healthy natural diet from foraging on the farm!
Just because our eggs are unwashed does not mean they will always look dirty. Generally chicken eggs look clean after laying. It all depends on where they lay their eggs (mud vs grass).
If eggs are soiled, brush off dirt or wash before using.
Once eggs are refrigerated, we recommend that they stay in the refrigerator.
